The anchor of our clinics is our medical team which is built on the culture and energy created by our Veterinary Practice Manager. As the Veterinary Practice Manager, you own the success of your clinic and the customer experience. This role is critical in both the day-to-day operations as well as our overall member experience which includes both digital and in-person. Because our clinics don’t operate more than 8 hours a day and limited days per week, this role is unique in that we’re looking for someone both with vet med experience and who is also interested in diving more into the business side of running and overseeing a clinic practice.
This role will work closely with our Anchor Veterinarians as well as any relief veterinarians on rotation for their location and will report directly to our Senior Manager of Clinic Operations.
Vet Med Work You’ll Do:
- Triaging appointments as they are booked in your clinic - all appointments are approved to ensure we are able to treat them as our scope is specific to preventative care
- Recording vitals and assisting doctors with diagnostics
- Completing treatments as instructed by the doctor
- Basic husbandry and nursing care
- Taking blood
- Preparing samples for outside reference labs
- Preparing medications
- Administering medications
What Operational Work You’ll Do:
- Maintain a 360° view of the practice and lead the team in ensuring that all facilities and brand standards are being met
- Uphold a culture of safety, compliance, collaboration, and inclusivity
- Work closely with the manager of the daycare and/or grooming center our locations are within to ensure a seamless customer experience as well as collaborate creative ways to fill both schedules
- Take ownership of and handle escalated situations with members to ensure resolution; enlisting the support of the Senior Manager of Clinic Operations as needed
- Oversee and analyze your practice’s P&L and revenue by type, identifying trends and growing top line revenue with support from your Senior Manager of Clinic Operations
- Manage and optimize the appointment and doctor schedules
- Partner with larger leadership team to create, review, improve, and implement new initiatives and processes; ensure they are followed by all practice team members
- Execute on the ground events that help build the clientele of their clinic
Who you are:
- 2+ years working in a veterinary practice
- Bonus if licensed in the state of Texas or in process of receiving your LVT but not required
- Experience in a hospitality role and/or fast-paced startup is a plus but not required
- Comfortable with navigating technology platforms including Excel and Google Suite
- Emotionally intelligent and autonomous
- Customer service-oriented and focused on the details
- This is a full-time position - typically Monday through Friday - however, as a leader of one of our practices, you are expected to have the flexibility to work occasional weekend or evening duties for events or specials being offered
