Position Overview: We are seeking a creative and sales-oriented Content Writer on a contract basis to develop engaging, consumer-facing content that aligns with our brand guidelines and messaging handbook. The ideal candidate will have a background in retail service locations, a passion for pets, and the ability to collaborate with our medical team to integrate clinical and health-related information into their writing. You will be responsible for creating both short and long-form content, from ad copy and CRM emails to detailed promotional materials and internal training handbooks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Creation:
    • Write compelling short-form content including ad copy, CRM emails, blog posts, social media feedback and responses, and event invitations.
    • Develop long-form content for websites, landing pages, promotional print materials, and PR communications.
    • Create comprehensive handbooks and internal training materials focused on sales, marketing, and customer experience.
    • Craft content for presentation decks aimed at B2B audiences.
  2. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the medical team to gather clinical and health-related information to incorporate into consumer-friendly content.
    • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and the messaging handbook.
  3. Proofreading and Editing:
    • Proofread and edit customer-facing content produced by other team members to ensure clarity, consistency, and quality.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a content writer, copywriter, or similar role with a strong portfolio of consumer-facing content.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to adhere to brand guidelines and messaging handbooks.
  • Background in retail services and a passion for pets.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams, including medical professionals.
  • Proficiency in creating short-form content (e.g., ad copy, emails, social media posts) and long-form content (e.g., websites, landing pages, print materials).
  • Experience in developing training materials and handbooks.
  • Strong understanding of SEO and content marketing principles.
